Recuva is a simple tool meant for recovery of data accidentally deleted from a hard drive created by the author of the CCleaner program.

The data may be recovered e.g. from an emptied system recycle bin, photographic memory cards or MP3 players. Recuva may not have options as advanced as competing solutions, though it should handle recovering files deleted a moment ago without problems.

One of the values of the application is the disc scanning speed in search for deleted data and the option of previewing some file formats.
