Nero 11 is a software suite which consists of applications designed for graphics and video edition (Nero Vision Xtra), burning completed material (Nero Burning ROM) and a backup copy creation tool (Nero BackItUp and Burn).

The Nero program is commonly considered to be one of the best CD/DVD recording suites. Nero BackItUp & Burn is a set of burning applications profiled for data archiving. Nero BackItUp & Burn includes the following applications: Nero BackItUp, Nero Express, Nero RescueAgent and Nero BurnRights. They make it possible to prepare a data backup copy (also automatic according to a specified schedule) and then to burn it onto CD/DVD/Blu-Ray carriers.

The last tool available in Nero 11 is the Nero Vision Xtra devised to organize, play and edit videos (AVCHD, MKV, FLV, FLAC, DVD, MPEG-4 AVC, (S)-VCD, AVCREC).
