Google Earth

Google Earth is a program allowing display of satellite images, aircraft images and various content supplied by National Geographic, Jane Goodall Institute, US National Park Service, NASA, Discovery Networks and United Nations Environmental Program on a three-dimensional Earth model.

The Google Earth application uses the same resources as the Google Maps service, the difference lies in the possibility of displaying some of the buildings in a three-dimensional form and visual angle alteration functions. The basic function of Google Earth is city browsing. Photographs are made in high resolution, making viewing districts and also particular buildings possible.

Google Earth offers much more. Thanks to this application we may go sightseeing on the Moon, walk on Mars, look up into the sky or observe changes in the world through time, owing to marked historical maps. It is also possible to have a sightseeing airplane trip (flight simulator).
