Sweet Home 3D

A freeware program meant for interior design, written in Java. Sweet Home 3D, unlike other freeware of the sort, allows arranging not just one, but a few rooms at a time (e.g. an entire flat or a house level) and enables object placement and a very precise dimension determination.

The application provides free-form walls, windows and stairs placement and the planning of division walls. One of its useful functions is the possibility of importing a graphic file (e.g. with the flat?s project scan) so as to outline it precisely in the software. A defined area may be the base for different furnishing elements from the database, divided into clear categories.

The standard bade is quite limited, however many additional furnishing elements may be downloaded from the program?s homepage.
