Avira AntiVir Rescue System is a freeware antivirus tool based on Linux, designed to scan a computer and bring it back to operating condition when the operating system fails to launch.

Avira AntiVir Rescue System is distributed as a bootable disc image to be recorded on a CD/DVD carrier and then launch a computer using the disc.
